Creating an account
To create an account, we require both personal and vehicle documents, such as: * A valid driver’s license * Vehicle registration * Proof of insurance
Uploading documents
To upload documents to your account, signin to tugu.driver.com to visit your dashboard OR follow these steps in the Driver app: 1. Open the Driver app. 2. Tap the profile photo in the upper right corner 3. Tap Account 4. Select Documents 5. Choose the document you want to upload or tap Take photo.
Document rejection
If you’re notified that one of your documents is rejected or expired, it may be due to one of these reasons:
- You didn’t meet the eligibility requirements
- Your vehicle didn’t meet the vehicle requirements
- Your uploaded document(s) had issues
Some common document issues are:
- The photo is blurry or dark
- The photo isn’t of the original document
- The photo doesn’t include all 4 corners of the document
- The document isn’t the correct type that we requested
- The document expired or is expiring soon
- The document is illegible
- The document is missing information
Please ensure your documents are correct before submitting them for approval. Uploaded documents generally require 1-5 days for review.
- Open the Tugu driver app or visit the Driver Portal via a web browser and go to Settings > Account > Documents.
- Find the document type you need to submit in the list.
- Ensure that you have completed the Expiry date field, where applicable
- Click on +Upload file to take a photo or select an existing photo from your device.
- Once you’re done with taking or choosing the photo, and you’re sure the quality matches our requirements, click on Use photo. Your document upload will then start.
- Do not close the app or page until you can see that the status is Waiting for verification.
- Our team will review the uploaded document(s), and you will receive an email to confirm if it has been accepted or declined.
In the Document section of the Driver Portal, you can view all of your uploaded documents and their expiry dates.
To ensure that you’re able to continue going online in the driver app, we recommend that you submit any renewed documents (e.g. a new driving licence) as soon as you have them. This allows us to review and approve them before your previous documents expire. Having trouble uploading documents.
